Step 1: Choose a size and style

Step 2: Upload your photo
A clear phone photo in daylight, with both eyes and ears visible, works best. Old, dark or blurry photos are okay too. Step 3: Our designers create the portrait for the loom
Your photo has to be redrawn because a jacquard loom cannot weave a photo directly. The loom builds the picture by raising and lowering threads, using a small set of yarn colors. A photo has thousands of shades. So our designers turn your pet into clean shapes and a small palette that the loom can weave. This is why a woven blanket looks like an illustration, not a snapshot. It is also why our designers can improve lighting and recreate details a photo is missing.
Step 4: Review your free proof within 24 hours
You get a design proof by email within 24 hours, and nothing is woven until you approve it. Revisions are free. Once you approve and weaving starts, the order is final, so check the proof carefully:
- The spelling of every name.
- Markings, spots and patches, and which side they are on.
- Ear shape and eye color.
- Anything you want added or left out, like a collar.
Step 5: Weaving in the USA

Can you put two or three pets on one blanket?
Yes. One blanket can hold up to 3 pets, with their names. They can be dogs, cats or other pets, and the photos can be taken separately. Our designers combine them into one design, so your pets do not need to sit still together. A few tips:
- Send one clear photo of each pet, ideally at a similar angle.
- Say which name goes with which pet.
- Mention size differences, like "Bruno is about twice Pip's size."
- Check all three faces on the proof before you approve.
What does a finished woven blanket look and feel like?
It feels like a textured cotton throw, with the portrait woven into the surface. You can feel the weave under your hand. The image shows on both sides of the blanket, and the edges are finished with fringe. Colors look a little softer and more muted than on your screen, because yarn does not glow the way a phone does. You can fold it over the back of a sofa or hang it like a tapestry.
